Louise Slater (she/her)

I am Professor of Hydroclimatology in the School of Geography and the Environment and Fellow of Hertford College. 

I lead the Hydro-climate extremes research group, which develops computational approaches to detect, attribute, predict, and project how changes in climate and land cover may affect water-related extremes and society over sub-daily to multi-decadal timescales. 

We undertake research on a wide range of topics including floods, drought, extreme weather, groundwater, landcapes, seasonal to decadal forecasting, climate models, and Earth Observation. I am Editor of the EGU journal Hydrology and Earth System Sciences, Associate Editor of the AGU journal Earth's Future, and a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow.
