Join us for a gathering of AI for the Environment science, ideas, and innovation at the Intelligent Earth CDT Annual Conference 2026. Bringing together our exceptional cohort of doctoral researchers alongside leading keynote speakers, the conference offers a unique space to explore how AI transforms environmental science and solutions.
From inspiring student presentations, to thought-provoking keynote talks, the programme highlights the breadth and impact of Intelligent Earth research. Our interactive poster sessions provide further opportunities to engage deeply, spark new collaborations, and exchange ideas in an open and dynamic setting.
Keynote Speakers
Our keynote speakers will be leading researchers whose work explores the role of AI across the themes of climate, biodiversity, natural hazards, and environmental solutions.
Keynote speakers will be announced shortly.
Programme
The full conference programme, including session times and presentation details, will be published closer to the event.
Programme to be announced.
Abstract submission
We welcome abstract submissions from DPhil students whose work aligns with the scope of Intelligent Earth. Due to space limitations, places for participants from programmes other than Intelligent Earth are unfortunately limited to 20, please clearly justify how the proposed work connects to the conference focus on AI for environmental challenges.
Abstracts should indicate how the research uses or engages with AI and how it relates to one or more of the four main themes: climate, biodiversity, natural hazards, and environmental solutions.
A limited number of rooms have been reserved at St Catherine’s College, Oxford, for student delegates and will be available at discounted rates. Students who are interested in booking accommodation should indicate this in the abstract submission document. A booking code for the discounted rate will then be shared with eligible delegates. Further details, including prices and booking instructions, will be provided soon.
Venue
The conference will take place in the Life and Mind Building, University of Oxford. This newly opened building brings together biology and experimental psychology in a modern, collaborative environment designed to support research, teaching, and discovery. The building has also been recognised as Project of the Year: Education at the OxProp Awards, making it an exciting and fitting venue for the conference.
