I am a researcher based at the School of Geography and the Environment, working on projects that explore environmental and human-landscape dynamics in dryland environments. Drylands are home to a third of the world’s population and are anticipated to be at the forefront of some of the anticipated environmental challenges stemming from projected climate changes. My research looks to combine field, lab and data-based methods at exploring the relationship between environmental pressures and landscape response in the biological and geomorphological record and then projecting how we might further expect systems and plant distributions to respond.
As Course Director on the Intelligent Earth CDT, I work closely with the leadership team to help deliver and run the training programme of the CDT.
